Designing the omnichannel organization
Gamma Belgium is a top 3 player in the Belgian DIY market. Every week 160,000 customers shop at one of 80+ stores in Flanders or Wallonia. As part of the Intergamma cross-channel strategy, Gamma Belgium launched their webshop in early 2014.SparkOptimus was asked to help build an adaptive and self-learning e-commerce organization with a constant focus on growth and profit maximization.
SparkOptimus supported Gamma by creating an online assortment selection and optimization process, setting up and managing online marketing campaigns, and helping hire additions to the e-commerce team. In addition, it created dashboards to accurately steer all new processes. All departments were taken through a step-by-step process to build capabilities in new data analysis, marketing and online category management.
By setting up the organizational e-commerce fundament, we provided Gamma with the required know-how and tailor-made tools to kick-start its presence in the Belgian online DIY market and start achieving its growth objectives.
