AkzoNobel UK Deco is the leading player in the UK decorative paint market, and forms part of the global paint, coatings, and chemical producer AkzoNobel. As digital developments are accelerating, AkzoNobel UK Deco asked SparkOptimus to support in defining an integrated digital commerce strategy.
SparkOptimus identified main trends in the (online) paint market and defined the opportunity for digital paint commerce in the UK. Furthermore, we assessed current digital routes to market and co-created a digital commerce vision along with a pragmatic roadmap, which included both e-commerce and online services.
The digital commerce strategy provided AkzoNobel UK Deco with a clear vision for the future, integrating existing digital initiatives with newly identified opportunities. Furthermore, by jointly working with the AkzoNobel UK team, the awareness of the digital opportunities within the AkzoNobel organization was raised significantly.
