Bert Meerstadt

Bert Meerstadt is a Supervisory Board member of ABN-AMRO and Lucas Bols. Bert began his career at McKinsey & Company in 1986, working at McKinsey's Amsterdam and London offices until 1992. In 1992 he co-founded the consultancy firm 'Consult Marketing and Brand Strategies'. This office became a part of Young & Rubicam in 1995. Three years later he became CEO of Young & Rubicam Group Europe, Middle East and Africa. Additionally, he became a member of the Partnership Board of Young & Rubicam Inc. in New York. Bert Meerstadt worked at NV Nederlandse Spoorwegen (Dutch Railways) until October 2013; he started as Director in 2001 and was appointed CEO of NS in January 2009.Bert studied Architecture at the Delft University of Technology and received an MBA from INSEAD. He is CEO of the Baarsma Wine Group, market leader in selling and distributing quality wines as of April 2014.
