Also King’s Day will be very different in 2020. No streets turning entirely orange due to decorations and people dressing from head to toe in the Dutch national color. Instead, this year everyone has to celebrate our King’s birthday from home due to the Corona virus. Therefore, SparkOptimus – together with the Koninklijke Bond van Oranje Verenigingen (KBOV), Google, YouTube Netherlands and Incentro – has taken on the challenge to keep the biggest Dutch national holiday alive while the entire country is on lockdown. This Monday we’re organizing the Netherland’s very first fully digital King’s Day: Koningsdag Thuis! As the #1 digital consultancy in the Netherlands, we’re extremely excited to co-develop koningdagthuis.nl within a week. This platform enables everyone in the Netherlands – whoever and wherever they are – to take their performances, games, or magical tricks digital and watch from a distance while others do the same.
We’re very honored to announce that the King and his family will also celebrate his birthday on koningsdagthuis.nl. Other official national program components include the National Toast and the Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest playing the Dutch anthem “the Wilhelmus”. In addition to these wonderful contributions, many famous Dutch people will share their King’s Day activities by video or livestream for the entire country to watch. Confirmed names are André Kuipers, Erik Scherder, Jeroen van der Boom, Anna Yilmaz, and many more.

SPARKOPTIMUS MEDE-ORGANISEERT VOLLEDIG DIGITALE KONINGSDAG THUIS
Ook Koningsdag zal in 2020 anders zijn. Dit jaar kunnen we helaas niet massaal – van top tot teen gehuld in oranje – de straten op, maar moeten wij vanwege het Corona-virus de verjaardag van onze Koning thuis vieren. Daarom is SparkOptimus – samen met de Koninklijke Bond van Oranje Verenigingen (KBOV), Google, YouTube Nederland en Incentro – de uitdaging aangegaan om de grootste nationale Nederlandse feestdag in ere te houden in tijden van lockdown. Aanstaande maandag organiseren wij samen de allereerste volledig digitale Koningsdag in Nederland: Koningsdag Thuis! Als de #1 digitale consultant in Nederland zijn wij enorm enthousiast om koningsdagthuis.nl binnen een week mede te ontwikkelen. Op dit platform kan iedereen – jong en oud, bekend en onbekend, van Limburg tot Groningen – zijn/haar optreden, spel of goocheltrucs online voortzetten en meekijken hoe de rest van Nederland Koningsdag viert.
Wij zijn vereerd te mogen mededelen dat onze Koning en zijn familie ook mee zullen vieren op koningsdagthuis.nl. Andere officiële nationale programmaonderdelen zijn de Nationale Toost en het Wilhelmus gespeeld door het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest.
Naast deze fantastische bijdrages, zullen ook vele BN’ers hun Koningsdag activiteit(en) via video of livestream delen met de rest van het land. We hebben al bevestigingen ontvangen van o.a. André Kuipers, Erik Scherder, Jeroen van der Boom, Anna Yilmaz, en vele anderen.
