On Monday 28th of May, Alexandra Jankovich, Managing Partner of SparkOptimus, delivered a keynote speech at the 7th edition of the annual NextWomen100 event. During this event, this year’s top 100 most successful and influential Dutch businesswomen were announced. Alexandra was already voted one of “The Next Women 100” in 2017 (see “Alexandra Jankovich in NextWomen100” ). This year she has hit the “Gold” section of this prestigious list. Her speech, in which Alexandra spoke about how digital disruption is a power and can be used to one’s advantage, was received with great enthusiasm.

All invitees to this event were successful Dutch female entrepreneurs, who had been carefully selected based on the performance of their companies, their positions as a role model and their visions for the future. Other keynote speakers were Simone Kukenheim (Deputy Mayor of Amsterdam), Danie Bles (CEO of ByDanie), and Aukje Kuypers (CEO of Kuijpers and Dutch Business Woman of 2018).

In her inspiring speech (not shy of a pinch of humor), while referring to the latest developments in blockchain, Internet of Things and machine learning, she stressed that digital disruption isn’t only about digital. Instead, it’s about facing the challenge of going to the core of a company and returning to the fundamentals of good business sense: rethinking everything based on purpose and customer needs and creating an organization that can deliver and continuously improve. This requires change, strong personal leadership, and a readiness to act, learn and take tough decisions. This approach is further elaborated in the book “Make Disruption Work.” Rixt Herklots, program manager TheNextWomen: “Alexandra really captivated every single person in the room!”
