DLL, a global leader in asset finance with a portfolio exceeding €44 billion and operations in more than 25 countries, set an ambitious goal: to become the undisputed global leader in vendor finance by 2027. To enable this ambition, DLL needed a clear long-term AI strategy, a shared vision, and the ability to scale AI value across the organization. Despite early steps such as Copilot adoption, training, and initial use cases, the company struggled to unlock value at scale due to the absence of an overarching strategic direction and operating model.
SparkOptimus not only helped us sharpen our AI strategy, but also gave us the tools to scale it across the organization. Their pragmatic approach and deep expertise in both AI and transformation made them a valuable partner in this important step toward our 2027 ambition
SparkOptimus partnered with DLL to design a company-wide AI strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned with the 2027 ambition.
In collaboration with DLL's teams, the project:
• Sharpened the strategic vision for AI by defining priorities and identifying where AI could drive the most impact
• Identified high-value end-to-end processes through regional workshops that uncovered inefficiencies and customer experience opportunities across markets
• Designed the optimal organizational setup including a Center of Excellence to drive adoption and dedicated teams focused on the highest potential processes
• Outlined the roles, skills, and structural capabilities required to scale AI across the full organization

Budget Thuis is a leading energy and telecom services provider in the Netherlands, committed to providing reliable services at affordable prices. Serving more than a million customers, Budget Thuis holds a prominent position in the industry. Recognizing the substantial potential of Generative AI to enhance internal processes and the customer experience, Budget Thuis faced challenges in realizing its value independently. Therefore, they asked SparkOptimus’ support in identifying and prioritizing company-specific use cases, rapidly testing and proving the value by collaboratively building, testing, and improving MVPs, and designing an organizational setup for long-term, sustainable (Gen) AI innovation.
PostNL wanted to better understand digital development and - as a result - the changing needs of their customers in order to assess opportunities to serve its customers in new ways.
Sligro is a food wholesaler, providing both food service and food retail with a total revenue of nearly €3bln in 2017. Sligro asked SparkOptimus to help them identify digital growth opportunities for the group. The opportunities were both transformational and disruptive and included Sligro’s B2B and B2C activities.
BAM, a leading European construction-services business, has started the transition from an operational, process-oriented business to a company with a proactive, holistic customer approach and relationship. This way, BAM can anticipate (latent) customer needs and focus innovation based on relevant developments in the world. BAM asked SparkOptimus to support them in translating their strategic themes into value propositions based on customer needs.
GS1, as a neutral, not-for-profit organization, works every day with members and partners to build a universal system for product identification and data sharing. They aim to make trusted product data accessible with a single scan so that anyone, anywhere can make informed choices.
Value chain collaboration on sustainability data is crucial, as tackling it in isolation creates major inefficiencies. GS1, recognized for its global scale, neutrality, and decades of experience, has been asked by its members to play a role in resolving these inefficiencies, e.g., by driving harmonization across the value chain via common standards.
To accelerate and secure stakeholder support, GS1 needed a clear, compelling proposition explaining its role and value for its members in the sustainability space.

After becoming independent from Sanofi in 2025, Opella, now the #3 global player in the €190 billion OTC and VMS market, set out to redefine its commercial and customer strategy capabilities. The company aimed to accelerate eCommerce growth and ensure its plan to double online revenues by 2030 remained aligned with market trends and digital opportunities. To support this, Opella partnered with SparkOptimus to review and enhance its global eCommerce growth strategy and investment roadmap.
Heras, a leading supplier of perimeter protection solutions active in over 24 countries with more than 1,100 employees, faced challenges with a complex IT landscape and limited system integrations. This led to significant manual work and hindered data-driven decision making. To support their business growth and strategic objectives, Heras wanted to:
- Establish a value-driven IT strategy that directly contributed to their strategic business goals.
- Identify fit-for-purpose solutions, with clear visibility of costs and benefits over a five-year horizon.
- Define the processes, roles, and organizational changes required for effective change management and a sustainable end-state IT setup.
Greif set out to drive adoption of their new customer portal, Greif+, enabling customers with 24/7 self-service and order management. A key challenge was ensuring adoption not only by customers but also by local sales and service teams, turning them into Greif+ ambassadors. Beyond initial pilots, Greif aimed to scale the portal across business units and regions to create a unified digital experience.
