Becoming a more consumer-centric and data-driven organization
Royal IHC is a leading supplier of innovative and efficient equipment, vessels and services for the offshore, dredging and wet mining markets. To help serve existing and new customers even better, Royal IHC had the ambition to realize a leading digital platform which enables vessel owners to manage their fleet and increase uptime. SparkOptimus was asked to support in designing the e-business proposition and detail the resulting roll-out plan.
SparkOptimus was instrumental in helping us get our heads around what our customers need from an e-business portal, and what we need to do to provide it.

Manager Business Development & MarketingSparkOptimus supported Royal IHC in understanding key customer needs and designing a corresponding proposition, by interviewing customers, suppliers, employees and by conducting joint workshops. Next, we determined the future role of the e-business team in the proposition and detailed the technical and organizational requirements and roadmap for implementation.
Through a structured approach, we formulated an e-business proposition for Royal IHC which addresses the key needs of small and large fleet owners. Furthermore, we designed a detailed and pragmatic roll-out plan to bridge the capability gap and build the organization and solution step by step.
