We all try to support the causes we care about in our own way. One way is knowledge sharing and expertise building within not-for-profit organizations and institutions. This is what we are doing at…Justdiggit!
Selçuk Deger, senior associate: “Last year, we decided as a company to compensate for our yearly CO2 emissions by donating the equivalent cost to an NGO committed to this very cause. In an official vote over lunch (read, number of hands raised!), we opted to donate to the Justdiggit foundation.
Justdiggit is committed to making arid land fertile again by harvesting rainwater and introducing sustainable agriculture to create healthy ecosystems. Applying Justdiggit’s Hydraulic Corridor system influences the regional climate by capturing CO2, reducing local temperatures and creating local rainfall.
A few months later, Justdiggit approached us for support on their collaboration with TomTomTelematics (TTT). We were instantly motivated to jump in and help. Justdiggit wanted to use TTT as a channel to inform and motivate customers to compensate their CO2 emissions by donating to Justdiggit. I assisted Justdiggit and TTT for three months and helped them developing and implementing a user flow and communication strategy. Afterwards, I helped in the development of a roll-out plan, interview guides and the website structure and content. I found this project very rewarding, as I supported a good cause through sharing my expertise and made a small contribution to make the world a little greener!”
