Daniel Ropers has been involved in bol.com (The Netherlands) since its establishment in 1998. During his time as a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company Germany, he wrote the first business plan for bol.com. After serving as interim Finance & Business Development Director of the start-up company for a mere year and a half he was appointed Managing Director of bol.com in June 2000. Besides his work at bol.com Daniel Ropers is a Board member of the Dutch Home Shopping Organization thuiswinkel.org and a Supervisory Board member of Telegraaf Media Group.
Daniel Ropers studied Global Business and Economics respectively, at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC) in Cergy Pontoise, France.
