What they wanted

Staatsloterij is the oldest and largest lottery in The Netherlands. Email is one of Staatloterij’s priority marketing channels. To continue to enhance the customer experience for all potential prize winners, Staatsloterij wanted to optimize the email marketing process and bring email marketing to the next level by implementing increased personalization and trigger-based communication.

What we did

SparkOptimus provided support in designing and implementing a pragmatic and efficient email marketing process, as well as operationalizing a structured ‘test & learn’ cycle to continuously optimize conversion. Furthermore, SparkOptimus helped to define the email marketing strategy and executed a detailed assessment of the current email marketing tooling.

What we achieved

The new email marketing process reduced the time required for new campaigns from four weeks to ten days. The defined email strategy paved the way to increase sales, personalize communication, and reduce churn, while the operationalized ‘test & learn’ cycle provided a structured way of working for continuous improvement of email effectiveness.
