What they wanted

HEMA is a value for money retailer known as the strongest brand in The Netherlands It has expanded over the years to over 700 stores in 7 countries. Together with HEMA, SparkOptimus developed a 3-year plan to grow omnichannel sales. In the follow-up project, HEMA asked SparkOptimus to implement this plan

What we did

SparkOptimus set up a project management organization, revolving around the four key priorities and 15 underlying work streams, actively working together with the HEMA organization. SparkOptimus provided change management, knowledge,support and hands-on business management on multiple topics like delivery & fulfillment, e-category management, international strategy, omnichannel marketing, and data-driven business

SparkOptimus helped transform HEMA e-commerce from a separate business unit into a professional integrated e-commerce organization, resulting in a strong >30% YoY growth and turning the ecommerce business in a substantial bottom-line contributor
