SparkOptimus organized her first edition of its ‘Drinks & Digital Inspiration’ late summer event. This year’s theme was ‘The Digital Age. A Golden Age for Citizens wordwide?’
A topic to make the guests aware of the benefits and opportunities of digitization. The renovated Rijksmuseum, which will reopen in April of next year, was the ideal location for us to inspire the three hundred guests that attended the event on this issue. The advertising agency Leukwerkt worked with SparkOptimus to create the inspiring presentation given by Alexandra Jankovich, which can be viewed here.
Some highlights of the presentations at the event:Alexandra Jankovich talked about what the digital developments mean for citizens and organizations: ‘Citizens and consumers are often ahead of organizations utilizing mobile, online and social media possibilities. This provides organizations with fast growing channels and new opportunities to give customers a better service, contact and user experience.’ H.R.H. Princess Máxima of the Netherlands, UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate held a speech focusing on the topic ‘Inclusive Finance for Development’, where mobile phone banking can increase access to financial services in developing countries. Royal Philips Electronics CEO Frans van Houten discussed the opportunities in the care and treatment of patients where digital technologies can help to mitigate the growing labor shortage, reduce the rising costs and at the same time maintain the quality of care Rijksmuseum director Wim Pijbes highlighted the continued attractiveness of a museum that will make a large part of the collection available online as of October 2012: ‘We have made a radical decision to make our master pieces available for free online
